Julie Cottingham is a freelance paralegal with over 30 years of experience in the legal arena, including over 20 years in consumer bankruptcy, 13 years in eminent domain/condemnation (both state and federal), 13 years in civil litigation (which ran concurrently with the eminent domain work – she’s not that old! and continues), including personal injury, divorce work, federal court cases and a variety of General Sessions, Chancery and Circuit Court cases.  She had thought about going freelance full-time for a while, so when the 52-year-old firm she was working for dissolved near the end of 2015, it seemed like a good time to spread her wings and try something new.
